MEET THE ACADEMIC LEAD

Experienced teaching. Personal attention. Clear direction.

I'm Pooja Yadav, Co-founder of MeandMath and Academic Lead for GCSE and A-Level programmes at XL Maths. For more than a decade, I've helped students move from uncertainty to understanding—and from understanding to independent confidence.

My lessons are calm, structured and responsive. I pay attention to how each student thinks, explain ideas in a way that makes sense to them, and make sure they can apply the concept for themselves.

PARENT & STUDENT STORIES

Progress feels different for every student.

The common thread is clearer understanding, greater confidence and knowing exactly what to work on next.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you get started.

Have a different question? Tell us what your child is working towards and we'll guide you honestly.

How do the 1-to-1 lessons work?

Each 50-minute online lesson is planned around the student's course, current understanding and immediate goals. Lessons combine clear teaching, guided questions and independent application.

Is homework included?

Yes. Homework is chosen to reinforce the exact concepts covered in the lesson, with feedback used to shape the next steps.

Do you support exam preparation?

Yes. Support includes topic assessments, exam-style questions, timed work, test series and past-paper practice appropriate to the student's stage.

What happens before the first lesson?

We begin with a conversation about the course, exam board, current challenges and goals so the first lesson already has a clear purpose.

START WITH CLARITY

Identify the gaps before lessons begin.

Tell us the subject, level and what currently feels difficult. The initial learning evaluation helps assess current understanding, identify learning gaps and establish a focused starting plan.
